even the character itself is problematic tbh.

Cho Chang is supposed to be Chinese, but then her name is contained two Korean surnames. and of course, she's from Ravenclaw, where the clever kids stay. that's how you put Asian character, right?
the stereotypes game is strong. https://t.co/hZWyHI0g7U
It's hilarious that people still aren't realising that every single Harry Potter character is a stereotype. Some are more harmful than others, such as this one, but none are actual developed characters. Hell, the only Irish character does pretty much nothing but blow stuff up

absolutely shocked by this behavior from the franchise that named its one Chinese character "Cho Chang" https://t.co/435dpye4Nh

whats weird is that just kidding rowling could research all these latin terms and couldn't bother to look up traditional chinese surnames and first names. the absolute bare minimum. katie leung is not at all overreacting and anyone who says so is completely detached from reality https://t.co/c5OddR7ggh

« Pourquoi moi pour présenter la cérémonie ? 5 nominations, 0 César. C'est sadique de me le proposer et c'est maso d'accepter. C'est comme avoir une pharmacienne à la culture en pleine pandémie ». Le gouvernement en prend pour son grade.
